Mengatasi bug: ata1: port is slow to respond, please be patient (Status 0xd0)

Bug ini muncul sejak pertama kali saya menginstall ubuntu (ketika itu pakai Gutsy). Saya pikir, di Hardy hal itu sudah diatasi, tapi ternyata dengan Hardy masalah itu juga masih muncul.
Masalah yang timbul adalah linux sering hang yang lamanya 'kagak nahan'. Sekali hang, biasanya lebih dari 30 detik, bahkan pernah sampai kurang lebih 5 menitan.
Ternyata, hal ini terjadi karena terjadi eksepsi exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x2.

Nha, untuk mengatasi, ini caranya:
- edit /etc/initramfs-tools/modules dengan editor misalkan gedit. Di terminal, ketikkan
$ sudo gedit /etc/initramfs-tools/modules
- pada file modules, tambahkan baris-baris berikut:

piix
ide_generic
ide_cd
ide_disk

# blacklist bad driver
blacklist ata_piix

# prevent unnecessary modules from being loaded (you don't need to do this)
blacklist ata_generic
blacklist libata
blacklist scsi_mod

- kemudian setelah disimpan, lakukan pengupdatean intuk initramfs dengan mengetikkan:
$ sudo update-initramfs -u


Masalah selesai, dan dunia kembali bersinar

Find JIRA issues mentioned in Confluence Page

Mininet/Containernet Problem: Exception: Error creating interface pair (s2-eth5,s3-eth1): RTNETLINK answers: File exists
